ZIPPO
Hello there. It's been a while. Months, in fact. But lately I've been feeling the pull to "blog" again. Do people still blog? I know I still read them. Sure, I like YouTube and Spotify for podcasts, but there's something wonderfully "un-noisy" about a favourite blog. I can settle in and enjoy it. There wont' be any ads. There is no infinite scroll. I read the entry. Enjoy it. And then go do something else.
I did dabble with a YouTube channel for a while - a place to upload my narrated short fiction, but, well... crickets. Also, the slick AI video accompaniaments that fiction channels over there are using, not to mention the AI narration, and well, it just isn't my thing.
So, I'm going to upload my stories here. If that appeals to you, great! I''m glad you're here.
So, I bring you a short story I wrote called ZIPPO, about an unusual friendship, loyalty and hope. Just click on the arrow to hear it. I hope you like it.
